Scala Developer

We're seeking an experienced freelance Scala developer with Kubernetes experience to initially provide support to the existing service - troubleshooting and bug fixing as well as work on new features. We need this for out-of-hours European time so this would suit someone US based. This is our immediate need, however there is scope for more involvement. 

Our API is built in Scala Play, with micro services architecture, used by live clients to collect, moderate and publish user generated content including videos and images. More info on what it does is here on our site. 

This is initially a freelance position for between 10 and 20 hours per week, depending on your availability, however there's scope for this to grow. 

In addition to Scala experience, MongoDB and ElasticSearch are useful but not essential. 

Our Lead Developer will be able to help with onboarding, getting to know our product and how it's used. If you're interested, we'd be happy to answer your questions and tell you more about how we work and what we need.
